Terms of use

These terms cover Dérush: the derush.ai site, the Mac app, the iPhone app and their plans. Dérush is published by Loaddr Ltd (see the legal notice). By linking the app to your beta spot, or by subscribing, you accept them.

An invite-only beta

The beta is open to people unlocked from the waitlist. Your spot is yours alone: don't share your beta link or your link code. Loaddr can remove a spot, in particular in case of abuse; your footage and your library then stay on your Mac, and a running subscription is stopped and refunded for the time left.

What Dérush does

Dérush installs on your Mac and keeps your footage, your library and your account there. Once the app is linked, derush.ai gives it the AI analysis, access from your iPhone and the updates, which install on their own.

Plans

Dérush has a free plan and paid plans (Creator, Pro), described with their prices on the pricing page. They differ in how many videos you can export and how many hours of footage get analyzed each month; whatever you don't use in a month doesn't carry over, and the counters reset on the 1st of every month. Prices include taxes.

Payment and renewal

You subscribe from the app, monthly or yearly, and pay through Stripe, our payment provider. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price in effect then: we'll email you about a price change at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then. Moving to a bigger plan applies right away, prorated; moving to a smaller one applies at the end of the period you paid for.

Cancelling

You can cancel anytime from Dérush's settings (“Manage my subscription”): your subscription stops at the end of the period already paid, at no cost, and you're back on the free plan. A period that has started isn't refunded, except where the law requires it. Your footage and your library stay on your Mac.

Right of withdrawal

If you're a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a contract made at a distance. Since your subscription starts as soon as you pay, you ask at checkout for it to start right away, and you acknowledge that you give up that right of withdrawal.

Your footage stays yours

You keep ownership of your videos, photos and edits, and you alone are responsible for what you film and publish. You confirm you have the right to use them, in particular for the people in them and for the music. To understand them, Dérush sends reduced extracts to Google's AI: the privacy page says what goes out and what's kept.

What's not allowed

Using Dérush for illegal content or to infringe other people's rights, getting around its limits, reselling or sharing your AI access, or trying to disrupt derush.ai.

No warranty

Dérush is still being built: it can have bugs, change or stop. It's provided as is, without warranty. It never changes your original files, but keep your own backups.

Liability

As far as the law allows, Loaddr isn't liable for indirect damage or data loss related to the beta, and its total liability is capped at €100. Nothing in these terms reduces the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

Third-party software

The app includes open-source software, ffmpeg among it, under its own licences: the licenses page lists them with their source code.

Stopping

You can stop whenever you like: cancel your subscription if you have one, delete the app, and ask for your data to be deleted at bonjour@derush.ai.

Changes

If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll email you before the change applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Cyprus. If you're a consumer in another country, you keep the protection of that country's law and can go to its courts.
